The IIDS group contributes to the
masters programme of the Computer Systems Section,
is involved in the graduate course
Intelligent
Interactive Distributed Systems, taught by Thomas Quillinan, Martijn Warnier, Sander van Splunter and Michel Oey,
and gives the bachelor course
Privacy en Beveiliging
which is taught by Frances Brazier and Martijn Warnier.
Final term projects (Masters)
In the IIDS group students can work on a final term
project. On this page, a list of open final term projects is
provided and our expectations with regard to
graduate students.
Open final term projects:
A final term project at IIDS involves:
- design and documentation of a conceptual model.
- documentation of literature research.
- design and documentation of a prototype to demonstrate 'proof of concept'.
- documents and source code are all "Open Source", i.e. available to the general public.
- frequent meetings (once a week).
- presentations at the 'IIDS meetings' and a webpage on the final term project.
Individual Programming projects
In the IIDS group students can work on an individual programming
project. On this page, a list of open programming projects is
provided and our expectations with regard to
graduate students. These projects are worth 9 credits (Code 400388).
An individual programming project at IIDS involves:
- design and documentation of a prototype to demonstrate 'proof of concept'.
- documents and source code are all "Open Source", i.e. available to the general public.
- frequent meetings (once a week).
- presentations at the 'IIDS meetings' and a webpage on the programming project.
Further Details
Both the final term and programming projects will be supervised by a staff member of the IIDS group on
a daily basis and by Frances Brazier on a bi-weekly basis. Graduate students are also invited
to suggest new related topics for final term projects. For more information regarding final
