News from the ALIAS project:

  • (February 1st, 2004) The first PhD-student will be employed within the VU-star project "The Virtual World requires New Bridges" (in Dutch: "De Virtuele Wereld vraagt om Nieuwe Bruggen") at the IIDS group, supervised by prof.dr. F.M.T. Brazier and prof.dr.mr. A. Oskamp. The other two PhD-students of this VU-star project start during 2004 within the Computer Law Institute.
  • (September 1st, 2003) The LEA2003 programme now includes online papers and presentations (in pdf format).
  • (July 2003) The ALIAS Cookbook is now available online at this site.
  • (July 2003) The LEA 2003 programme, soon to include online papers and presentations, is now available.
  • (July 2003) The ALIAS website has been updated.
  • (June 2003) The ALIAS group presents three papers at the LEA2003, regarding agents and anonymity, agents and contract closing and whether agents are outlawed processes.
  • (February 2003) CFP: LEA 2003 - The second Workshop on the Law and Electronic Agents, LEA2003 takes place June 24th, Edinburgh.
  • (July 2002) The alias group will be present at the LEA 2002 workshop on the law of electronic agents.
  • (April 2002) The alias group brings up its Web-discussion forum. Join us!
  • (April 2002) The alias group will present results of its work on the 3rd International SANE Conference with the paper: migrating agents: Do sysadmins have a license to kill?
  • (March 2002) The alias group is to present results of their work on the 17th BILETA Annual Conference with the paper: Legal aspects of Agent Technology.
  • (November 2001) Mw. prof.dr.mr. A. Oskamp, is appointed Professor of Legal Knowledge Management and Information Technology at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. She gives her inaugural speech "Agenten, terecht!" on thursday the 29th of November 2001 in the Auditorium of the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
