The ALIAS project started February 1^st, 2001. The research is currently a collaboration effort between the Computer Law Institute (CLI) of the Faculty of Law at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, and the Intelligent Interactive Distributed Systems (IIDS) at the Computer Science Department of the Faculty of Science at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
